Temecula City Council is set to decide on approving weddings and large parties at Redhawk Golf Course, with events restricted to noon-9:00 pm and no more than three days per week. Camrose City Council adopted a new policy explicitly allowing wedding ceremonies at public facilities, requiring one-month advance bookings for external use.

These actions address operational costs, noise concerns and scheduling at public venues used for weddings. Nelson Council also plans bylaw updates to mitigate unauthorized mooring and disorderly conduct at the waterfront to support safe wedding operations. The measures focus on existing facilities where ceremonies already occur or are proposed.

Once bylaws take effect, people arranging events at the Hall Street Pier would pay the new rate. At the Maxwell House, the reduced annual limit and earlier Sunday close would apply to bookings. At Redhawk Golf Course, any approved events would follow the noon-9:00 pm window and weekly cap. Camrose facilities would require bookings one month ahead for external users.

The policies target specific sites rather than all public spaces. Wedding organisers would need to check updated rules before reserving dates, as availability and conditions would differ from prior practice.
