Two sites draw daily lap swimmers
The Innsbrucker Freibad on Innsbrucker Platz maintains four 50-metre lanes reserved for continuous lap swimming between 6:30am and 8pm on weekdays. Swimmers there share the facility with the Schöneberg Schwimmverein, which schedules group sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Further north, natural rock pools carved into the slope at Volkspark Schöneberg near the Fichteberg entrance on Hauptstraße provide shorter 25-metre stretches where currents remain minimal during morning hours.
Both locations sit within a 12-minute walk of Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn station, allowing residents from the adjacent neighbourhoods of Viktoria-Luise-Platz and Wittenbergplatz to reach them without motor transport. The Volkspark site opened its rock-pool section to the public on 1 June 2026 after safety barriers were installed along the lower path.

Adult entry at Innsbrucker Freibad stands at 4.80 euros for a two-hour session, while access to the Volkspark rock pools remains free under current district rules.
